Richmond
Christian School has an excellent middle school program designed
to enrich all that the students have learned in the lower school
as well as prepare them for the future upper school courses.
The sixth grade was added to the middle
school program in recent years, and an exciting curriculum has been
planned for them, with new activities and adventures awaiting upcoming
sixth-graders.
The seventh grade has a special program
unique to Richmond Christian School. The seventh grade at RCS is
divided into units on topics such as Chesterfield County, Architecture,
African Culture, Animal Habitats, Native American History, Greek
Legends, and many other exciting subjects. In each subject, students
complete a project related to the assigned topic. This innovative
program incorporates student learning in the classroom with additional,
hands-on activities. Field trips are taken for each unit by means
of tangible assimilation of the concepts the students are studying.
Seventh grade should prove to be a memorable year for all Richmond
Christian students as they learn new things, and have the opportunity
to apply the same.
The eighth grade at Richmond Christian
School is designed to prepare the students for their upper school
career. The student begin a schedule of switching classes, and are
introduced to the responsibilities they will need to acquire for
a successful upper school experience. Eighth graders are also involved
in a variety of programs to aid them in spiritual growth and academic
enrichment.
