Lorin Mello

Hi!  My name is Lorin Mello and I am an award-winning actress and educator in the Richmond area. I earned my BA Degree (Theatre: Performing and Visual Arts) from Longwood University and achieved my teaching license from The University of Richmond. After graduation, I toured with Missoula Children’s Theatre, which allowed me to teach Music & Theatre to K-12 students on the upper east coast, west coast, and in Canada! I had the honor of being the Theatre Program Director at Caroline High School from 2019-2023, where I was selected as the Novice Teacher of the Year (2021-2022). I have been conducting historical tours in downtown RVA for 5 years and have helped core class teachers implement performing arts-based engagement strategies in their classrooms.

I am eager to bring my passion for theatre, music, and the Lord to RCS! Outside of school, I enjoy making pancakes, embroidering silly sayings into my sweaters, and taking my dog out for a Starbucks pup cup! I am excited to celebrate my 4 year anniversary this August with my husband, Jimmy, who is a recognized actor, director, and playwright. I am so grateful to the RCS family for welcoming me in, and I am excited to call myself a Warrior!!!
