Philosophy
Webster defines philosophy as the “systematized knowledge of the good, the true, and the beautiful.” What better way to describe our Creator and our desires at Richmond Christian for our athletes? Our primary purpose is to cause our athletes to act and think like Jesus Christ. Short and straightforward, “Conformed to His Image” (Romans 8:29) sums up our philosophy in a single phrase. This philosophy should alleviate any questions or difficulties throughout the year by asking the simple question, “Is what I am or doing causing me to conform to His image?” Do whatever you do with a “Total Release” of your mental and physical ability, along with your emotional energies, toward performing like Jesus, having in mind that Jesus is your most important audience. “ALL FOR HIM” (Col. 3:17)
Does showing God’s glory mean that we don’t want to win? No! We practice hard to beat our opponents. During games, we do everything we can within the bounds of fair competition to achieve victory. Yet, competition coupled with the right attitude represents what we do “All For Him.”

Fall Sports Practices Begin 8/1/22

Parents & Athletes,
I hope you've been enjoying your summer break so far, but the beginning of school is just around the corner. With that will begin our fall sport schedule. Look for updates over the weeks to follow as we build the schedule in our new athletic conference. If you're not aware of the change see my previous post. With the beginning of school, of course, comes the beginning of fall sports and many of our teams will begin practicing as early as August 1st. That means we've got to have your physicals submitted. Don't wait until the last minute or it could jeopardize your ability to play. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.
