My favorite bible verse is... Philippians 3:14, NLT: "I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

I am so excited about my 12th year at RCS.  I have taught for over 20 years, with 11 of them being in Christian Education.  I teach Spanish 1, 2 and 3 and have also taught K-6 in previous years.  I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Lucas, for 22 years.  We have a son and a daughter.

Logan, my son, graduated from RCS in 2020, amidst the craziness of COVID-19.  He has just finished his Freshman year at Bryan College, a small Christian College in Dayton, TN.  He also plays baseball for Bryan.  I am blessed to have him home with me for the summer.  My daughter, Hailey, is a 10th grader here at RCS with me.

I was born and raised here in Chesterfield, VA.  I graduated from L. C. Bird High School.  I then attended Mary Washington College (now known as the University of Mary Washington) and received my BA in Spanish Literature.  I also received my teaching license from Mary Washington College.  I taught in the Stafford County Schools for 7 years before moving back home to Chesterfield, where both my husband and I grew up.

I attend Kingsland Baptist Church, and have been a member since before I was born :-).

In 2019, my husband took me on the trip of my dreams to Macchu Pichu, Peru, where we spent a week.  And then we stopped off in Cancun, Mexico for a second week, before we headed back  home.  It was so exciting for me to be able to use my Spanish on this trip.
