My favorite Bible verse is Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

I'm excited to say that I'm heading into my 15th year of ministry at RCS!! I love teaching and getting the opportunity to educate and motivate students in the classroom.  My courses include AP Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Physics, & Communications.  They are all challenging classes, but also fascinating, and I try to make my enthusiasm for learning contagious.  In addition to my classroom role, I serve as the Student Life Director.  This position involves oversight of some of the leadership, ministry, and club opportunities in the high school, along with a few additional activities.  Mostly, though, it allows me to build relationships with our high school students, advocate for them, and both challenge and encourage them as they navigate the crazy life of a teenager in the 21st century.

I have been blessed with an amazing wife, Jennifer, and 3 awesome kids, Aaron, Bethany, and Caleb.  All three have graduated from Richmond Christian and we are so thankful for their time here.  Last year Bethany pulled off a wedding in the midst of Covid craziness, and we now count her husband Chance as a part of our family.  They have relocated to North Carolina, and we're thankful that we still get lots of opportunity to see them.  Aaron is a Physical Therapy Assistant and is still in the area.  Caleb is a fresh high school graduate, and will be continuing his education at Liberty University for the next 4 years.

Our family is native to Long Island, New York, and though we have been down in the Richmond area for 20 years now, we still enjoy exploring our adopted community.  We are a bit of a soccer family, both watching and playing, and I have coached high school soccer for more than 25 seasons.  However, my true sports love is the New York Mets, and I'm happy to spend a few minutes telling you how amazing they are!  We have a wonderful church family at Bethany Place Baptist Church, where my wife and I work and teach with our youth group.  Aside from those things, I can be found reading, playing tennis, or playing games with family and friends.
