Parent Letter - 8/22/25
Dear Parents and Families of RCS,
Throughout the Bible, we read story after story of God’s miraculous provision. From the manna provided to the Israelites in the desert, to individual provision for Elijah by ravens, to the feeding of the 5,000 in the New Testament. Of course, there are many others not related to food – this is what happens when I write these letters close to lunchtime. In every case, there was a need; those involved prayed to God to meet that need, and He came through. He doesn’t always meet a need as we expect, but God is faithful to always provide exactly what is necessary. We saw that firsthand this summer, as God, once again, provided all of our staffing needs for this school year, and continues to bring us great families to be a part of Warrior Nation. If you find yourself in need, pray and believe Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” He is always faithful!!
Congratulations on surviving Week 1!! For the long-term planners out there, there are only 40 weeks to go until graduation - exactly nine months from today. More to come on that event in a much later parent letter.
I want to again extend a heartfelt welcome to all new families joining Warrior Nation this year. It has been a privilege getting to know you and your students. We are blessed to have 64 new students here at school. That number could grow in the coming weeks. God always amazes me with the unity we find in community and the diversity of gifts, talents, and personalities. We will continue to lift you in prayer for a smooth and quick transition to RCS.
The new format for combining Warrior Welcome and Meet & Greet seemed to be a big hit this year. The Spirit Store was hopping as boxes of merchandise were flying out the door. If you are still interested in purchasing Spirit Wear, you can find the page HERE. More items will be coming soon. If you purchased the new theme shirts and have not yet picked them up, please stop by the front office.
You are all rock stars with the carline already! We appreciate your patience and partnership as we get settled back into the morning and afternoon routines. As a reminder, the front elementary carline starts at 2:40, 5th-grade pickup starts at 2:50, and the back carline now begins at 3:05. If you prefer not to wait in the back carline, consider arriving at 3:15, and you will likely roll right through. Please remember to keep your eyes on the person at the front of the carline (morning and afternoon) who is directing traffic. They are the eyes of the whole system to keep everyone SAFE. Also, remember that morning classes begin promptly at 8:00 am. If you arrive at or after 7:58, you will be directed to the front office to sign in.
Thank you again for your partnership with us in Educating Hearts and Minds for Christ.
Blessings,
